Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Review

I have been hearing so much hype about Maybelline's new Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser that I decided to put it to the test.

What it claims to do:
  • Instantly blur the look of pores, without clogging them.
  • Smooth and refine skin's appearance
  • Transparent gel, smooths on clear
  • Non-comedogenic and fragrance-free
I have been using this product for the past week and I am finally ready to share the results...

For the first few days that I used Baby Skin I applied it over a mattifying moisturizer and under my liquid foundation and found that it made my skin appear oilier than normal and amplified the look of my pores.  For the rest of the week I used Baby Skin under Bare Minerals powder foundation and I achieved different results, my foundation went on smoothly and my skin didn't appear as oily as it did when I used Baby Skin under my liquid foundation, but still my pores were very visible.

Final Verdict: Overall, I was unimpressed with the results of Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser.  I really, really wanted to love this product but I don't believe it performed as promised.  After using Baby Skin I still had very visible pores and it made my skin appear oily.  The product did smooth my skin without clogging my pores but I was really hoping that it would make my skin look as flawless as my other pore-minimizing primers and it just didn't deliver.

Have you tried Baby Skin instant Pore Eraser?  What did you think?

  2. I actually have 3 tubes of this and I LOVE IT!!.....I do not rub it,I pat it on my face and let it sit a few minutes and yes it does fill the pores to make them look smaller for me anyways...I did one side of my face with it & my make up and the other side without it and there is a big difference...As far as oiliness it does seem that way at first but once it has 'set in' like all other pore fillers its just as good...MY OPINION ...At $6.00 you can not beat it...

  5. Thank you for a great review hun!! I've been looking for a dupe for porefessional and after reading I don't think this is it.. I may still try it with just powder because I usually don't have problems with an oily face.. we'll see ! Thanks again for sharing your blog with me :)
